We ♥ Sunriver

Kaya continued her jet-setting summer with another super fun vacation. Okay, so it was not so much "jet-setting" since we took the train but we had a great time. The train trip took 25 hours from Long Beach to Oregon and Kaya was an absolute angel. She hardly cried, slept soundly through the night in her carseat and made friends with all the nice old ladies.

I was a little bit worried about how she would deal with being cooped up in a confined space for that amount of time but she did fantastic! This trip was especially exciting for me because I have so many wonderful memories of my own childhood trips to Sunriver. I could not wait to share it with Shaun and Kaya. Kelsey and I hadn't been up there in the summertime for many, many years so we were really looking forward to doing all the fun things we remembered doing as kids.

We swam in the pool (Papa even took a turn on the waterslide!).

We rode the chair lift up to the top of Mt. Bachelor (another activity I was a bit apprehensive about, not being sure how Miss Holiday would react but she was not phased at all). She just sat on Papa's lap and seemed totally unaware of the fact that she was hundreds of feet in the air.

We rented bicycles and a trailer for Kaya to ride in and took lots of bike rides through the meadow and all around Sunriver.

Kaya's favorite part of the whole trip though, was watching Grandma Kim throw treats to Sienna. Kaya would crack up everytime Sienna jumped in the air to try to catch one. It was hysterical and the video we got of it was the best vacation souvenir I could have asked for.
